Outside with Recess Village, Inc.’s mission is to provide safe, inclusive, unique, and memorable opportunities to connect with nature and each other, to build stronger, and healthier communities.

• Develop and host outdoor events and excursions.

• Provide resources and guides to help Black adventurers feel more welcomed, comfortable and confident in the outdoors.

• Build a tribe of like-minded individuals to foster a sense of community and connection with nature.

Outside with Recess Village, Inc. values safety, inclusion, relaxation, recreation, exploration, connection with nature, and specifically providing safe and inclusive experiences for Black adventurers. We strive to celebrate diverse experience levels, promote equity, provide experiences accessible to all, and foster a deep connection with the natural world and one another.

Outside with Recess Village, Inc. recognizes the need for safe travel options for underrepresented groups, specifically in the adventure travel industry. Many Black adventurers face unique challenges when traveling, such as limited access to resources, lack of representation in the travel industry, and discrimination. We aim to provide a community and resources to help Black adventurers overcome these obstacles and enjoy travel experiences that are safe, inclusive, and authentic.
